Lindsay B. Anderosn, 83, of Orem and Provo, passed away Dec. 9, 1996, from complications of Parkinson's Disease.
Born Nov. 8, 1913, in Daniel, Wasatch County, to Lawrence Albert and Esther Melissa Lindsay Anderson.  Married Thelma Mahoney in the Salt Lake Temple on June 11, 1935.  Graduated from Wasatch High School in Heber City, where he served as student body president in his senior year.  Attended Utah State University and then specialized in selling and installing furnaces.  Later worked for the Bureau of Reclamation in Provo for 19 years.  After living in Logan, Montana, Salt Lake, Price, and Cedar City, he and Thelma settled in Provo where they lived for 45 years.  Loved music and was featured in operettas throughout his school years.  Sang with the Master Singers in Cedar City for six years and with ward choirs wherever he lived.  Was choir director in the Bonneville Ward and also served as ward clerk and membership clerk in several wards.  Served in the Navy as a metalsmith in Panama from April 1944 to October 1945.  He and Thelma served in the Arcadia and San Bernardino, CA missions and later were ordinance workers in the Provo Temple.  Was a High Priest in the Bonneville Fourth Ward.  He and Thelma recently moved to the Robbins Friendship Center in Orem.  As his health deteriorated, he spent some time in the Orchard Park Care Center, the Utah Valley Regional Medical Center and the East Lake Care Center.  We appreciate the help given to Lindsay in these special places.
Survived by his wife, Thelma, now of Orem; and their six children and spouses: Lynette (Duane) Harmon, Madison, Connecticut; David Lee (Nellie) Anderson, Las Cruces, NM; Leon Richard (Kathryn) Anderson, Provo; Linda (Jess) Nuttall, Hamilton, MT; Mark Lindsay (Betty) Anderson, Provo; and Judy (Kent) Talbot, Azle, TX; 28 grandchildren, and 18 great-grandchildren; two brothers, Ray W. Anderson, Payson; George A. Anderson, Gilbert, AZ; and a sister, Verda A. Brown, Greely, CO.  Preceded in death by his parents and four brothers: Theo, Clark, Ralph, and Blaine Anderson.
Funeral services were held Saturday, Dec. 14, at Bonneville Fourth Ward LDS Chapel, Provo.  Interment was in the Heber City Cemetery.

As Lindsay died in the last 50 years, his death certificate will not become publicly available until sometime around the year 2046.  When it is available I will post it here.
*This death certificate will also help solidify whether he died in Provo or Orem- the available records do not appear to clarify which city it was, though a majority of family records indicate that it occurred in Provo, UT.
