Bertha L. Sweat

HEBER CITY- Bertha Leona Galli Sweat, 76, died Dec 31, 1973, in a Heber City hospital following a long illness.

Born Dec. 3, 1897, Midway, Wasatch County, to Joseph and Annie Christensen Galli.  Married Orvel Sweat, June 16, 1915, in the Salt Lake LDS Temple.  Active in Relief Society, Primary and YW/MIA.  Temple worker.  Member of DUP.

Survivors: husband, sons and daughters: LeRoy, Doyle, Mrs. Earl (Edna) McDonald, all of Center Creek, Wasatch County; Mrs. Forrest (Viola) Giles, Mrs. Ray S. (Wilva) Anderson, both of Heber City; Mrs. LeRoy (Ruby) Flintton, Mrs. Gale (June) Desmond, both Salt Lake City; 37 grandchildren; 58 great-grandchildren; brothers and sisters: Clarence, Ogden; Mrs. Ora Sweat, Payson; Mrs. Joseph (Pearl) Street, Leonard, Lester, all of Salt Lake City; Mrs. Francis (Alice) Probst, Midway.

Funeral services will be held Thursday at 1 p.m. in the Heber 4th Ward chapel.  Friends may call Olpin Mortuary, Heber City, Wednesday from 7 to 9 p.m. and one hour prior to services at the mortuary.  Burial, Heber City Cemetery.  Family suggests contributions to Wasatch County Hospital memorial funds.
