This first one has a story behind it.
Apparently there was a roaming photographer on the road who was hoping to take photos of the area. Either the elder brother, Tom, or the photographer asked for a photo to be taken, and despite some hesitance from mother Elizabeth, she permitted it as long as it wasn't a close-up of them individually. It's a good thing the photo was taken as it's one of the very few with Emeline's elder brother Tom included in a family pose (he died very young in 1915.)
