Della S. Peterson
CENTER CREEK- Della Sweat Peterson, 86, passed away in a Heber City hospital July 22, 1986 after an extended illness.
Born May 24, 1900 in Center Creek, Wasatch County, to Louis and Elizabeth Broadhead Sweat. Married A. Ewing Peterson June 16, 1920 in the Salt Lake Temple. He passed away March 21, 1944. She was a school teacher prior to her marriage and filled two LDS missions: Western States, 1951-53 and Southern States, 1969-71. Has been very active in civic organizations. Member DUP #1, 4-H leader for many years. Has been active in Relief Society, Sunday School, Primary and MIA all her life.
Survived by her children, Virl and Ellen Peterson, Dallas; Joyce Peterson, Center Creek; Naida and Rex Bethers, Daniels; Aloyes and Jim Neilson, Provo; Charles Plummer, Orrville [AL]; 22 grandchildren; 43 great-grandchildren; one sister and two brothers, Nina Fawson, Grantsville; Otis and Delbert Sweat, Center Creek. Preceded in death by two daughters.
Funeral service Monday noon at the Heber East Stake Center, 2400 So. Center Creek Rd. Viewing Sunday, 6-8 p.m. at Olpin Mortuary, Heber City, also at the stake center Monday one hour beforer service. Burial Heber City Cemetery.
