Elisha Rodney Mahoney, 85, passed away December 19, 1986 in St. George, Utah.  He was born June 4, 1901 in Lake Creek, Wasatch County, to Elmer Clarence and Nancy Jane Jones Mahoney.  He married Julia Emeline Sweat December 20, 1922 in the Salt Lake LDS Temple.  She died.  He married Amber N. Lefler December 14, 1942 in the Salt Lake LDS Temple.
He was educated in and was a lifelong resident of Wasatch County.  He was active in farming and cattle ranching in Wasatch and Uintah County.  In later years he and Amber spent much of their time in St. George, Utah and Mesa, Arizona.  As a member of the LDS Church he was a High Priest and served in many capacities in the Church.
He is survived by: Wife of Heber City.  Children: Vern S. Mahoney, Anchorage, Alaska; Maevon Conquer, Mesa, Arizona; Donna Mahoney Ball, Salt Lake City; Shirley Lythgoe and Richard Mahoney, Heber City.  Step sons: Tharol and Don Lefler, Henderson, Nevada; and Veldon Lefler, Duchesne.  Thirty-five grandchildren, 44 great-grandchildren.  Brother; Ernest Mahoney; Sister: Thelma Anderson.
Funeral services were held Monday at the Heber 4th Ward Chapel.  Burial Heber City Cemetery.

As he died in the last 50 years his death certificate will not become publicly available until around the year 2036.  When it is I will post it here.
