CENTER- Mrs. Della Peterson of Salt Lake City and Mrs. Nina [Fawson] of Grantsville came Saturday and remained at the bedside of their sister Emeline Mahoney until her death Tuesday morning.  Numerous other relatives and friends from the county and out of the county have visited her and done all in their power to relieve Emeline of her suffering and to cheer the members of the family, for which they wish to express their gratitude.

Emeline S. Mahoney Dies at Center
Mrs. Emeline Sweat Mahoney, 39, a resident for many years in Center, died early Tuesday at her home after an illness of three years.
She was born September 6, 1902, a daughter of Louis Sweat, Sr. and Elizabeth Broadhead.
A graduate of Wasatch high school, Mrs. Mahoney attended the B.Y.U. Normal school in Provo, later teaching school in Center.  She was married to Rodney Mahoney December 20, 1923.  She had been president of the M.I.A., a Sunday School teacher and a counselor in the L.D.S. Primary association of Center ward.
Surviving are her husband and the following children: Vern, Maevon, Donna and Shirley; brothers and sisters, Lewis Sweat, Mrs. Sarah Lindsay, Elmer, Orvel and Alvie Sweat of Center; Mrs. Della Peterson of Salt Lake City and Nina Fawson of Grantsville.
Funeral services were conducted at the Wasatch Stake Tabernacle at 2 p.m. on Thursday, with interment in Heber City cemetery under the direction of Olpin Brothers Mortuary.

Note that her death certificate states she suffered with cancer for 2 years while the obituaries state it was 3 years.  Also the familysearch source link details indicate the wrong birth year (1912) as viewing the original clearly indicates in type that her birth was in 1902.  (It's always good to check the original source...)
