Ora Holland Sweat
1905-2003
Ora Holland Sweat passed away Thursday, October 23, 2003 in Albuquerque, New Mexico at the home of her daughter, Jolyn.  All her children were with her at the time.  She was 96 years old.
Ora was born September 4, 1907 in Shelley, Idaho to Harriet Daniels Brown and Joseph Holland.  She was the ninth child of 13 children and was the last survivor.  She graduated from Ricks College, then began her teaching career in a rural, one-room school house, traveling in a horse-drawn buggy or sleigh.  She married Otis Sweat June 9, 1932 in the Salt Lake LDS Temple.  They moved to Heber City, Utah.  Otis passed away October, 2000.
Ora was very active in the LDS Church.  She was president of the Relief Society, Primary and Young Women's Associations, served as a teacher in those organizations, and worked in road shows, music and was a member of the Daughters of the Utah Pioneers.
Ora was a thoughtful, loving parent and kind friend.  She was known for her absolute remembrance of birthday and special occasions, always showing love and care to all.  We remember her for her bright smile, positive attitude and quick wit.
Ora is survived by LaRae (Hal) Jeffs and Von all of Heber City; Deryl of Eden Valley, WY; Jolyn (Robert) Hall of Albuquerque, NM.  She leaves 16 grandchildren, five step-grandchildren, 24 great-grandchildren, six step-great-grandchildren and four great-great-grandchildren; many nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held Monday, Oct 27, 2003- 11 a.m. in the Heber East Stake Center, 2400 South Mill Road (1200 East), Heber City.  Friends may call on Sunday from 6-8 p.m. at Olpin-Hoopes Funeral Home, 288 North Main Street, and on Monday from 9:45-10:45 a.m. prior to the services at the LDS Church.  Interment, Heber City Cemetery.
