Joshua Lyman Fawson was Emeline's brother-in-law.

He was just a few months shy of his 100th birthday when he died.

Joshua Lyman Fawson
Joshua Lyman Fawson, born Aug. 1, 1900, died peacefully at home Thursday April 27, 2000, four months shy of his 100th birthday.  He was the first of give sons born in Grantsville, Utah to Joshua Abraham and Charlotte Pehrson Fawson.  His brothers, LeGrand, Vernon, Merrill and Don all preceded him in joining his parents eternally.
Lyman was raised in Grantsville where he graduated from high school.  He then attended college at the AC (USU) in Logan, UT where he received his teaching degree.  He taught school in Utah and Idaho where he also served as a Junior High Principal.  While teaching in Heber, UT he met Nina Mae Sweat.  They were married in the Salt Lake LDS Temple April 4, 1928 and recently celebrated their 72nd wedding anniversary.
Lyman has been a faithful member of the LDS Church throughout his life.  He served a full-time mission to California and has held numerous ward and stake callings.  He served as an ordinance worker in the Salt Lake Temple for over 17 years.  He maintained a farm most of his life and retired from Tooele Army Depot in 1970.
Lyman is survived by his wife, Nina; four of their six children: DeLoy, Gary (Janet), Linda (Junior) Mondragon, all of Grantsville; Sharleen (Marlo) May, Salt Lake City; a daughter-in-law, Kay Snapp; 24 grandchildren; 72 great-grandchildren; 17 great-great-grandchildren; two sister-in-law, Laura Fawson, Ina Fawson; step-children and grandchildren who lovingly acknowledged him as "Granddad" from DeLoy and Arlo's families.  He was preceded in death by his daughter, Doris Joleen; his son, Arlo (Dolores); and his grandson, Ronald Fawson.
Services will be 11 a.m. Monday May 1st in the Marshall Crossings Ward, 81 N. Church St., Grantsville.  Viewing, 9:30 to 11 a.m. at the church.  Burial, Grantsville City Cemetery.
